On Nov. 13, 2017, Tyler Nielsen was driving impaired on Highway 48 near Davis Drive when he struck another vehicle head-on.

Tyler Nielsen was sentenced to five years in prison and he received an eight-year driving ban. Catherine McDonald was in court when Nielsen addressed the family of Stuart Ellis, who are upset by the sentence.
