On Wednesday, 39-year-old Charles Russell was behind the wheel of his family's van, travelling with his 27-year-old wife and two daughters on Highway 36 when the northbound vehicle collided head on with a southbound truck.

RCMP are asking drivers to avoid a southern Alberta highway Friday morning as they investigate a serious two-vehicle collision.
