The OPP confirmed the affected stretch of Highway 17 near Deep River, Ont. has been re-opened. The crash closed the area to traffic in both directions for almost 12 hours.

Only the truck driver was in the vehicle and he was not injured, Ontario Provincial Police confirmed. Cst. Shawn Peever said the spilled nickel does not pose any public safety concerns.
