The latest stats across Canada show the reported crimes targeting Asian people went up more than 300 per cent in 2020, the first year of the pandemic.

Data compiled in the latest Statistics Canada report found that police-reported crime decreased by eight per cent last year, falling from 79.8 in 2019 to 73.4 incidents.
