Google is laying off 12,000 workers, becoming the latest tech company to trim staff after rapid expansions during the COVID-19 pandemic have worn off.

Google says they account for about 300 employees in the city, but the new workplace in Montreal can accommodate up to 1,000 people.

To take advantage of these features, users will need to go no further than Google Search. The new services will allow job seekers to browse postings that can be filtered by commute distance, job title and time commitment within the world's most widely-used search engine.
