Just under 400 firefighters are on the scene battling the Washburn wildfire in Yosemite National Park, trying to save an ancient grove of giant sequoia trees.

A massive storm has toppled a giant California sequoia famous for a "drive-thru" hole carved into its trunk, causing fans of the mighty tree to mourn its loss.
