Ford said dealers would replace the shifter cable bushing at no cost and is advising owners to use the vehicle’s parking brake.

Ford is recalling more than 1.3 million Fusion and Lincoln MKZ models in North America, including over 60,000 in Canada, because of loose steering wheels that could detach from the steering column.
