Canada's oldest regulated fishery has ended its season early in a move to conserve Gaspereau fish. Before the voluntary closure last Friday, more than 1.6 million fish were caught.

This is the fifth year the Ministry of Natural Resources has stocked the lake, which is incredibly popular with anglers.
