Ward 9 City Councillor Tim Cartmell was in the Global Edmonton studio Sunday morning to discuss the motion he's presenting to city council on Tuesday about the Terwillegar corridor.

Edmonton's Ward 9 has a new councillor-elect as Tim Cartmell won in what was expected to be a closely contested race.

Tim Cartmell has been elected as Edmonton city councillor for Ward 9, according to unofficial election results. 

Edmonton City Councillor Bryan Anderson announced Monday he will not seek reelection in the upcoming municipal election in October.
