At about 2 a.m. Sunday, police said they were conducting patrols in the area of St. Albert Trail and 128 Avenue when they saw two motorcycles heading south at a high rate of speed.

In total, there were 119 crashes involving motorcycles last year, including 67 injury collisions and three fatalities.
