The Edmonton Prospects announced Wednesday morning that the new Metro Ballpark in Spruce Grove will not open until May 2023 because of construction delays.

Council's community services committee has heard from a representative that says a farm team of the Los Angeles Angels is interested in moving to Edmonton. The city wants to enter into a new 10-year lease on RE/MAX Field.
