According to the province's wildfire update Thursday, 150 blazes were burning throughout Manitoba, with crews having the most trouble in regions east of Lake Winnipeg.

The increase in blazes -- almost double the number reported on Tuesday -- is due, in part, to sparks caused by lightning.
