The world sprint and para-canoe championships begin Wednesday in N.S. with up to 40,000 spectators anticipated to attend the five days of kayak and canoe competitions.

'We have such a great young team and it's exciting for us. It builds a legacy at all levels and we couldn't be more thrilled,' the CEO of Canoe Kayak Canada said.
