CP Railway and the union representing 3,000 conductors, engineers and train and yard workers say they have agreed to final and binding arbitration to end a work stoppage.

The strike involving nearly 3,000 engineers, conductors and other train employees took effect at 1 a.m. ET Sunday after the union and company dug in their heels.
