Calls for more action to curb the spread of COVID-19 are growing as the B.1.617 “double mutant” variant first detected in India has now made its way to Canada.

The health unit is specifically asking people to avoid travelling to the Greater Toronto Area, Ottawa, Montreal and Quebec City.
