There were 1,716 deaths due to illicit drugs in 2020 in B.C., a 74 per cent increase over the 984 deaths recorded in 2019.

The BC Coroners Service is trying to solve the mystery of an unidentified man whose body was found in a heavily wooded area about eight kilometres north of Whistler.
