Ottawa fire crews were able to knock down a fire in rural Ottawa overnight Thursday and rescue an occupant and three dogs from the blaze.

Fire officials say they received a call at 4:52 a.m. from a neighbour reporting flames and heavy smoke coming from the rear of a house at 609 Bayview Dr.
