'In Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley we're experiencing widespread smoke,' Geoff Doerksen, air quality planner with Metro Vancouver, told Global News.

Smoke is affecting the central and eastern Fraser Valley and should reach other areas Thursday or Friday. There are also concerns about high concentrations of ground-level ozone.
