Edmonton restaurant chain Central Social Hall has been sold to franchisor Foodtastic, which is also behind many Second Cup, Milestones, Freshii, Quesada, PitaPit and Jimmy Johns.

A homicide investigation is underway after a 74-year-old man died of his injuries following an assault at Central Social Hall in downtown Edmonton earlier this month.
