Edith Blais of Quebec and her travel companion, Luca Taccheto of Italy, went missing in December while travelling in Burkina Faso.

At 9:15 p.m., local time, the Coast Guard received a phone call from Logan Whitfield's mother, saying she'd last seen him swimming near Champagne Ponds at 6 p.m. The Coast Guard said in a statement they were looking for him "in the water."
