A member of Parliament says Ottawa may have underestimated Canadians' desire to travel when planning for a return to normal following the end of most pandemic restrictions.

Liberal Annie Koutrakis was elected in 2019 after rookie MP Eva Nassif decided not to see re-election.

The party fired the riding association president and financial officer on Sunday, ensuring more than $75,000 in funding would be made available to now Liberal candidate Annie Koutrakis' campaign.
