Dog owners rallied in uptown Saint John Saturday, advocating for pitbulls. The rally comes more than two weeks after a woman was killed by her own pitbull while walking the dog in Nova Scotia.

Animal services says owners have a big role to play in shaping their pets' behaviour – and that dogs exposed to violence or criminality while they're being raised can learn from their owners.
