Alberta Premier Danielle Smith is one of five candidates running in a byelection in the southern constituency of Brooks-Medicine Hat.

There are eight candidates running for the seat in Fort McMurray-Lac La Biche. Polls are open for the Alberta byelection from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
