“We are confident the fires will stay within their boundaries,” said Agassiz Fire Chief Gerald Basten.

Strong winds are fanning the flames of the Cemetery Hill and Bear Mountain fires detected Thursday morning, said BC Wildfire Service spokesperson Marg Drysdale.
