A week after Global News reported on how a New Brunswick couple were facing soaring moving costs, the company agreed to release the goods to them in Toronto.

A Fort Erie, Ont., woman and her husband say they thought they'd found a competent moving company to ship some of their belongings to their new home in New Brunswick. But once the company had the goods, the price went up and they needed Global News and the police to help get their items back.

A Manitoba couple, who are soon expecting a baby, say they have contacted police after spending weeks in limbo not knowing where their furniture is.
