The shooter, identified as 32-year old Royal Thai Army soldier Jakrapanth Thomma, was shot dead by military personnel Sunday morning. At least 29 people are dead and dozens more are wounded.

The gunman, described by police as a soldier angry over a land dispute, holed up in a popular shopping mall in northwestern Thailand on Saturday. Police say they have now secured the mall.
