March PADness

No-one should ever have to go without essential needs. As costs increase on everyday products, the demand placed on Essential Aid continues to grow.

900 CHML and Essential Aid and Family Services of Ontario, in association with Shoppers Drug Mart and Building Dreams Contracting present March PADness – a personal care and menstrual product drive.  New, unopened donations of hygiene products, toiletries and diapers are appreciated.

You can help people in our community with the necessities they need by donating products or cash throughout the month of March.

In 2023, Essential Aid’s Menstruation Product Assistance Program distributed 836 Menstruation Hygiene Kits (a 3-month supply of tampons or pads). They distributed the other hygiene products (deodorant, shampoo, etc.) received from March Padness on an as-needed basis to families accessing their MPAP and Infant and Toddler Food Bank Program. Their Infant and Toddler Food Bank Program distributed diapers to 3,519 children in 2023.
