Dick Williams entertains you as he looks back on London’s: fabled past news, headlines, trends and all of the sights and sounds of years gone by with the music you grew up with including jingles and imaging from Channel 98’s storied history!

 

Featuring nothing but Top 10 hits, historical content and features like the Forest City Flashback, Movietone News and important events in sports, entertainment, books, movies and songs released during this era sprinkled with drop in gimmicks and comments from a cast of thousands, short observations of life, offbeat stories, “One Hit Wonders” and requests.

Dick “The Tall One” Williams joined Channel 98 in the early 60’s and was a member of The CFPL Lively Guys that included Bill Brady, John Dickens and Al Mitchell.

 

Recognized as the first North American Disk Jockey to play The Beatles during the British Invasion, Dick presented many stars to London teenagers at concerts and dance parties across various local venues including Wonderland Gardens, The Three C’s, The London Arena and Treasure Island Shopping Centre.

 

Throughout his local radio career, Dick hosted Good Morning London on CJBK with Judy Savoy and Janice Zolf, mornings at CHLO, middays at Q97.5 EZ Rock and Music Director of Oldies 1410 as well as local TV shows on CFPL TV including “Act Fast”, “Hootenany” and “Wing Ding”. Londoners remember Dick Williams as the Dick Clark, Casey Casem or Ryan Seacrest of London Radio.
