For two weeks, Simi will interview 6 British Columbians who you may not know, but they are Extraordinary in their own way. The Extraordinary British Columbian Series is presented by Simon Fraser University’s Beedie School of Business!

May 10th: Krista Thompson – the just retired head of Covenant House Vancouver. How has she done it? How has she helped so many street youth and what can we learn from the quiet way she has gone about it?

May 12th: Dr. Imran Ratanshi – Surrey Memorial Hospital. Dr. Ratanshi is a leading reconstructive craniofacial surgeon and microsurgeon. He literally reconstructs new faces for people. Came from Sloan Kettering and Harvard Medical school. Could have worked anywhere in the world but came home to Surrey because of his family roots.

May 15th: Inez Cook – owner of Salmon and Bannock. Once the only Indigenous restaurant around, she is expanding the restaurant to YVR and bringing B.C.’s Indigenous food to travellers from all over the world.
