While participating in a protest at a Walmart store in Ontario, California, Santa was among a small group of people who sat down in the middle of an intersection adjacent to the store.

Police responded to the scene and declared an unlawful assembly. Santa was then handcuffed and taken away. “It’s all for the kids, kids need a place where they can have a family that gets a decent wage”, said Santa as he was led away by police.
Walmart workers were protesting what they say are substandard working conditions and poverty wages. Similar protests were organized at Walmart locations across the U.S. on Black Friday.
