No charges will be laid following fatal pedestrian collision: Regina police

The Regina Police Service (RPS) has completed an investigation into a fatal pedestrian collision last week and has determined that no charges will be laid.

“Officers from our Traffic Safety Unit and Forensic Identification Unit conducted the investigation and concluded the driver of the vehicle was not at fault,” the RPS stated. “As such, no charges will be laid.”

RPS officers were on the scene in the 1500 block of 7th Avenue East shortly before 1:00 p.m. on Sept. 8, 2023.

“When they arrived, they found a male victim, who appeared to have been struck by a large truck, lying in the roadway,” RPS stated in an earlier release.

“EMS attended and confirmed the male victim was deceased.”
