Chris McLennan built “Car L” – a modified 4×4 buggy, rigged with a Nikon camera and a built-in remote control – to capture close-ups of lions in Botswana’s Khwai region.

The buggy captured detailed photographs of the pride at a distance closer than most photographers would dare to get.
