PORT HAWKESBURY, N.S. – A husband and wife charged in connection with the disappearance and alleged killing of Cape Breton fisherman Phillip Boudreau have been committed to stand trial.
A preliminary inquiry was held Wednesday in Port Hawkesbury provincial court for Carla Ann Samson of D’Escousse.
The 38-year-old woman is charged with being an accessory after the fact.
Her 43-year-old husband, Dwayne Matthew Samson, is charged with second-degree murder in Boudreau’s death.
His preliminary inquiry was held Tuesday.
Both are due in Nova Scotia Supreme Court on Dec. 6 to have trial dates set.
Boudreau vanished June 1, the same day his boat was found overturned in Petit-de-Grat harbour.
His body has not been found.
Two other people face charges in the case.
