PERTH-ANDOVER, N.B. – Police in New Brunswick are investigating the sudden death of an 81-year-old man who had been burning debris in his backyard.
The RCMP in Perth-Andover say they were called to a home just before 5 p.m. Thursday and discovered the man.

They say it appears he had been burning material and suffered burns to his body.
An autopsy will be done to determine the exact cause of death, but police say foul play is not suspected.
The name of the victim was not released.
