A man who was doing electrical work in northwest Calgary on Tuesday sustained life-threatening injuries while on the job, according to police.
Police said they were called to a workplace incident at 12700 85 St. N.W. on Tuesday evening.

While few details about what happened were available, a police spokesperson described what happened as an overhead electrical incident.
The worker was taken to hospital. Alberta Occupational Health and Safety has taken over the investigation.
