Hammer-wielding man arrested at Winnipeg hospital, police say

A man armed with a hammer was arrested at Victoria General Hospital in Winnipeg Tuesday morning, police say.

Officers were called to the Pembina Highway facility just before 7:30 a.m., and the man was found in an unoccupied section of the hospital.

Police say the man, who was taken into custody, made no threats to staff or patients, and no one was injured.
