A bomb threat forced the evacuation of the Cory Potash Mine in the RM of Vanscoy on the weekend.
Warman RCMP say security personnel at the mine received a call at around 5:30 Sunday evening stating that there was a bomb on site. Management ordered the evacuation of all employees.
An RCMP investigation has found that the call was made from a local pay-phone. A search of the mine by the Police Dog Service and the RCMP Explosive Disposal Unit turned up no suspicious materials, and the investigation is ongoing.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
