TORONTO – Mayor Rob Ford – having recently admitted to drinking and driving – mimicked the act after Paul Ainslie interrupted Doug Ford while in city council.
Doug Ford was questioning city lawyers when he was interrupted, causing the mayor to make the motion seemingly in reference to Ainslie’s admitted three-day license suspension in May. Ainslie made the admission a few days after registering a warning level during a roadside breathalyzer test in May.

The mayor himself admitted last week to drinking and driving at least once in the past following the release of court documents compiled during a long investigation into his friend Alexander “Sandro” Lisi.
Nothing in the documents have been proven but they cite interviews with former members of the mayor’s staff which allege the mayor got into his Escalade following a raucous St. Patrick’s Day party in 2012.
The mayor denied allegations of cocaine use and associating with sex workers and threatened to sue some of his former staffers.
Rob Ford pleaded no-contest to driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs in May, 1999 after being pulled over in Florida.
