Other performers and special guests are expected to be added to the line-up.
Hosted by Foster, the event’s honourary chair is Laureen Harper. Her husband, prime minister Stephen Harper, is expected to attend as well as Ontario Lieutenant Governor David Onley and federal finance minister Jim Flaherty.
Tickets for the gala at the Allstream Centre at Exhibition Place start at $2,000.
The David Foster Foundation provides financial support for the non-medical expenses of families with children in need of organ transplants. The Victoria native founded the organization more than 25 years ago.
Foster has said he hopes these charity events also raise awareness about the importance of organ donation.
