A man in his 20s has suffered life-altering injuries after he was struck by a vehicle in Vaughan, Ont., on Tuesday.
Emergency services were called to the area of Major Mackenzie Drive West near the intersection with Islington Avenue on Tuesday for reports of a collision.
A pedestrian was involved in a collision with a vehicle causing serious injuries.
Police said they believed a vehicle had stopped in the curb lane when a second vehicle crashed into it and a pedestrian. The York police collision reconstruction unit was at the scene.
The male pedestrian was taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries. Police said they would be life-altering.
Major Mackenzie Drive was closed following the collision.
York Regional Police notified the public about the collision in a tweet posted around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
