Global News is projecting Jason Nixon will keep his seat in the riding of Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre for the United Conservative Party.
Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre is a provincial riding located in central Alberta. This riding is currently represented by UCP MLA Jason Nixon who first took office in 2015.
Nixon collected 20,579 votes, winning 81.64 per cent of the vote in the 2019 Alberta provincial election.
On the afternoon of election day, Elections Alberta tweeted that the Sunchild Administration Building in Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre would remain open for people to cast their ballots until 9:46 p.m. Elections Alberta said the polling station would stay open until then because it opened late. Other polling stations will still close at 8 p.m.
