Edmonton-West Henday is a provincial riding located in Edmonton. This riding is currently represented by New Democratic Party MLA Jonathon Carson who first took office in 2015.
Carson collected 8,820 votes, winning 44.08 per cent of the vote in the 2019 Alberta provincial election.

The NDP MLA is the only lawmaker to ever serve the riding because it was first created in 2017. Carson was first elected as the MLA for Edmonton-Meadowlark in 2015 before winning re-election in Edmonton-West Henday in 2019.
History:
The Edmonton-West Henday riding was created in 2017 after the Electoral Boundaries Commission called for the Edmonton-Meadowlark riding to be renamed and for the Meadowlark Park neighbourhood to be moved out of the riding.
In 2019, the NDP earned more votes than any other party in the riding while the UCP secured the second-most number of votes at 41.49 per cent.
Over the course of three elections between 2008 and 2015, the Edmonton-Meadowlark riding was held by three different parties: the Liberals, the Progressive Conservatives and the NDP.
