Vancouver helicopter marriage proposal video goes viral

A video of an extravagant mountaintop marriage proposal involving a Vancouver couple, three helicopters and a group of dedicated friends has gone viral on YouTube.

Vancouver-based commercial helicopter pilot Bradley Friesen posted the video on YouTube earlier this week and it has already garnered nearly 15,000 views.

In the video, shot in May, the groom-to-be travels by helicopter to a mountaintop in Pinecone Burke Provincial Park, near Coquitlam.

His girlfriend, who thinks she is styling a fashion shoot on top of the mountain, travels by another helicopter with the model and photographer, all of who had no idea what was really going on.

To pull it all off, Friesen enlisted two other helicopter pilots, a videographer and two cameramen.

The video includes stunning footage of B.C. as the groups fly above lakes and over mountains to get to the destination.
