Emmy-winning actor Leslie Jordan taking over ‘The Morning Show’

TORONTO — Hold on to your hats — and clutch your pearls. Leslie Jordan is coming to Global’s The Morning Show.

The outrageous 58-year-old star of stage and screen, who is perhaps best known as Karen Walker’s nemesis Beverley Leslie on Will & Grace (for which he won an Emmy), is special guest host of Friday’s national edition of The Morning Show.

Jordan, currently appearing on American Horror Story, has a long list of television credits to his name, including appearances on shows like Boston Legal, Desperate Housewives, Reba and Ally McBeal. He’s also had roles in movies like The Help.

But, Jordan is also an accomplished stage actor and playwright. He originated the role of Brother Boy in Sordid Lives, wrote and starred in Lost in the Pershing Point Hotel and toured with his one-man shows Like a Dog on Linoleum and Laughing Out Loud… and Proud!

Jordan is no stranger to Toronto, having performed at the We’re Funny That Way comedy festival and at several benefits. In fact, he is back in the city for two performances of Fruit Fly: Do Gay Men Really Become Their Mothers? at the Enwave Theatre, in support of Casey House hospice.
