SASKATOON – Two Saskatoon men have been charged with first-degree murder in relation to the city’s third homicide of 2013.

The men, aged 23- and 28-years-old, were already being held at the Saskatoon Correctional Center on other charges when police arrested them Tuesday.

They are scheduled to appear in provincial court Wednesday morning.

On the evening of Aug. 29, police were called to an assault in an alley near Saskatoon City Hospital.

The victim, 29-year-old Kelly Diehl, was found and declared dead.

Police say the victim was known to the accused.
