Safari 4 is finally out of beta for Windows and OS X Leopard. Apple claims it’s the world’s fastest web browser. Besides that, it has some neat new features including a gallery window (pictured above) that keeps screenshots of your most visited websites. You can add or remove websites manually should something unsavoury show up! Download Safari 4 here.

As reported in my last post, the entry level iPhone price has been slashed to $99. Rogers and Fido (the only carriers in Canada that support the iPhone) are offering the phone for $99 on a three-year contract. This compares to only two years in the U.S. There are also some new data plans with slightly lower prices. Read more

Apple is slashing prices on its products in response to the economic slowdown, a very bold step for a brand name that has always commanded a premium. The price of a 13″ Macbook Pro was slashed to $1399, which is what the 13″ Macbook was selling for. Watch for some great deals on the “old” and refurbished Macbooks in the refurb store here.

Finally, the new edition of the Apple operating system OS X, dubbed “Snow Leopard” will be released this September. And there’s good news for people who already have Leopard — an upgrade will only cost $29.
