Winnipeg police said they seized over $6 million in meth in a raid on an apartment last week — the largest single seizure by the guns and gangs unit to date.
Two men from Alberta are facing a number of charges after the Oct. 12 search turned up 63 kg of meth at the Sterling Lyon Parkway apartment.
Police also seized 3.4 ounces of fentanyl (estimated street value of $15,000), 6.6 ounces of cocaine ($3,000), and two litres of GHB ($4,000).
“This is $6 million of money not going back into organized crime,” said Insp. Elton Hall.
