A man facing numerous charges in a deadly hit-and-run two years ago is now pleading guilty to one of those charges.
Cory Sater is accused of running down Lorraine Cruz and Charlene Reaveley near Lougheed highway and Pitt River Road in Coquitlam in February of 2011.
Today, he changed his plea to guilty on the count of leaving the scene of a crash.
On the night of the crash, Reaveley and her husband stopped when they saw a Pathfinder crash into a median.

They were helping the people inside the car, when Sater’s Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into it.
Lorraine Cruz and Charlene Reaveley died at the scene.
Today, the crown has concluded closing arguments, saying Sater was behind the wheel after a night of drinking at a local bar.
It says Sater had 14 ounces of liquor in about three hours the night of the crash.
It is alleged bar staff had to cut Sater off and he was showing visible signs of impairment.
But Sater’s lawyer says there is ample reasonable doubt for court to acquit him of all outstanding counts.
Sater still faces nine other charges.
