The New Brunswick RCMP says the owner of a boat found overturned in Queenstown more than a week ago has been found dead.
In a release late last month, police said members of the Oromocto RCMP detachment responded on Sept. 27 to a report of a wooden sailboat that was found overturned in the water in the Queenstown area.

“The boat was found unoccupied, with personal belongings on board,” the release said.
At the time, police said they were searching for the owner, who was last seen loading his boat at the Wickham Wharf in Wickham.
In a statement Thursday, the RCMP said members of Ground Search and Rescue found a body on the river bank near Hampstead Wednesday afternoon.
The body was identified as the missing man, a 54-year-old from Kars.
“An autopsy will be scheduled to help determine the man’s exact cause of death. At this time, police do not believe criminality to be a factor,” the release said.
