The Regina Police Service's explosives unit responded to a report of a suspicious package Tuesday morning in the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue. The unit deployed a bomb-defusing robot to inspect the item and discovered the package posed no potential risk to public. The Regina Police Service said the explosives disposal unit was called out the the 3100 block of Victoria Avenue to investigate a suspicious package on Tuesday around 10:43 a.m., but found a hoax device.

A property owner called police after finding a package on the property that looked suspicious, adding that there was no explanation for how the package got there.
